Poem 6.
soft
golden feathers pierced the gloom
soft golden feathers pierced the gloom
and life anew from gentle death said rise and grow and fly
the flames of blackened night are past
and promised day has blazing sun and shining light
lone bird of sweet renascent song, what gods divine command
your spirit flight
are trust and love your beaconed paths
or destined death the only course you seek
and frenzied life the journey blind that makes you fear
its end
resplendent keeper of incarnate fire
are you not the hope of immortal quest and never ending
prayer
will you ever know the mortal fate of rust, decay and dust
when life turns back to death and then returns to life anew
does shapeless soul emerge from host to host
and endless time is always now
and joyous day is always here
soft golden wings that pierce the shroud of cosmic night
whisper your unwritten song on winds that warm with constant
grace
unveil the mystery of your dream sleep flight
through the quiet softness of eternity
